The IEA and UNIDO published a new technology roadmap on Carbon Capture and Storage in Industrial Applications. It shows that carbon capture and storage (CCS) has the potential to reduce CO2 emissions from industrial applications by 4 gigatonnes in 2050. The roadmap stresses the importance of BECCS and the potential for negative emissions with this technology option.
The roadmap is a joint report from the International Energy Agency (IEA) and the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO), and Biorecro has been involved in the development of the roadmap as a project reviewer providing expertise on BECCS.
